Holy is the Lord

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Let them praise your great and awesome name-- He is holy.

I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." But the LORD Almighty will be exalted by his justice, and the holy God will show himself holy by his righteousness.

Ps 8:1,9; Ps 99:3; Ps 138:2; Isa 6:3; Rev 4:8; Is 5:16

And the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the LORD called to Moses from within the cloud. To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, "He is good; his love endures forever."

Ex 24:16, 17; 2 Chron 7:3

May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in his works-- May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken."

Ps 104:31; Ps 138:5; Isa 40:5

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.  Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.  Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.  Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies. The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary. Praise the LORD, O my soul.  O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.

1 Chron 16:27; 1 Ch 29:11; Ps 68:34; Ps 93:1; Ps 96:6; Ps 104:1

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  ~The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,    We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.    ~to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Cry out, "Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise."  I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.  Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one.  Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.) Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!"
