This is His Story.
Listed are Facts: History and Current Events.
This is the unseen reality of Life.
What we see in life are usually the waves of the ocean, but not what
undercurrents cause the waves in our life. This writing helps you to see the
causes of those waves in your life, and how the waves can become calm.
THEN Jesus got into the boat
and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the
lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The
disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to
drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"
Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds
and the waves obey him!" Matt 8:23-27; Luke 8:23-25
The life revealed in the pages of the Bible, God's Own Word, tells many of
the reasons why things happen as they do. While this small writing speaks of
man, it is written about all people, men and women, children all included.
The Big Picture is written chronologically. Many details and pieces are
missing because of the limitations of space. However, for the purpose of your
life, the main characters and events are listed. For more details and an in
depth understanding of God's True History, receive the Holy
Spirit and read God's own Word,
the Bible.
- God exists. (I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the
Beginning and the End. Rev 22:13)
- God creates Heaven. (Genesis 1) Heaven is not big enough to contain God.
(But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven,
cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built! 1 Kings 8:27; 2
Chron 2:6; 2 Chron 6:18.)
- God is in all of His Glory and Majesty. The Lord God IS Holy.
(Splendor and majesty are before
him; strength and joy in his dwelling place. 1 Chron 16:27; 1 Chron 29:11;
Ps 93:1; Ps 96:6.)
- God creates angels. These creatures see God in all of His Glory and
Majesty. They do His bidding, and He enjoys them. (Then I looked and heard
the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten
thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living
creatures and the elders. Rev 5:11)
- God's best and most beautiful angel was called Lucifer. Lucifer reflected
God's light, glory and splendor. His name means Light. He was the second in
command after God. (Isaiah 14:12 KJV)
- Lucifer grew filled with pride. (Who is it you have insulted and
blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in
pride? Against the Holy One of Israel! 2 Kings 19:22; Isa 37:23).
- Lucifer is a liar. (He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to
the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native
language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 )
- Lucifer decides to challenge the Almighty God, to take over, to conquer
God. Lucifer wants to be number One and not number two. Lucifer convinces
one-third of the angels to join him in challenging God's authority and
power. Lucifer and his angels lose the challenge. (His tail swept a third of
the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. Rev 12:4)
- There is only One God - There is no contest!! There is only One Who is all
powerful, all knowing, all present, all Good. Lucifer and his followers are
cast down to earth. (How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the
nations! Is 14:12; Jesus replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from
heaven. Lk 10:18) Now Lucifer has lost all of the light, glory and splendor
he once had. His name is now changed to Satan. His followers are also cast
down to the place that was prepared for them. ("Then he will say to
those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal
fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matt 25:41) They are now called
demons and devils. They are completely incapable of acting within God's Love
and Will. Satan and the devils and demons are completely evil. The opposite
of good. (Notice the word devil is a "d" + "evil".)
- Satan and the devils hate God. They hate God
Almighty because of their own pride in themselves. They hate God always, no
matter what. They want to be selfishly in
charge. They want things their own way. Since they are doomed to failure,
doomed to hell, permanently and eternally to suffer, they war on God. Unlike
humans, their own nature and character is unable to change. There is no hope
for them. They have seen God in all of His Majesty, Magnificence, Love (God
is Love. 1 John 4:16), and Glory and rejected the Lord God Almighty. There
is no turning back for satan and the devils. (From now on the word
"devil" will be used for satan and devils
and demons for the
purpose of not honoring them.)
The devils always war against God. They cannot harm God. They can never
win. They have already lost permanently. They are only capable of Hating.
Their hate for God propels them to hate whomever God loves. If they hate who
God loves, then they can hurt who God loves. They can also hurt God's
creation.
However, the devil can only cause harm if the Lord God allows him (Job chapters 1 & 2).
They are hoping to hurt God, but God has won the eternally victory already.
(For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable and the mortal
with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the
imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is
written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to
God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor15: 53-57)
The devil's purpose and goal is to hurt people and all of God's creation.
The devil uses people to accomplish his goals and purposes. (You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your
father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the
truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native
language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44)
The devil tries to destroy God's fellowship with His creatures. (Read the
book of Job.) The devil tries to rob people of their joy, peace, harmony,
love, and of every gift that comes from God. The devil accomplishes this
through lies and sin. If he can convince us in our minds, hearts, emotions,
spirit, bodies, and pleasures that this temporal world is the complete
reality, that there is no God, that we are nothing in God's image, then the
devil is winning in that territory. (Then God said, "Let us make man in
our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and
the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all
the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his
own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created
them. Genesis 1:26-27.) The devil has already lost the war, but he may win
battles.
God, in all of His Ultimate
Perfection, was rejected by the devil. God
wanted, but did not need, the friendship and fellowship of other creatures. So
God created a second time. God knew that He was going to do this since He
alone is omniscient ("omniscient" means knowing everything, past,
present and future). God created creatures that could not see Him clearly, but
who could see His character by what He does. (For in the gospel a
righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from
first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by
faith." The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it
plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible
qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Rom
1:17-20) God chose to make human beings, that is you and me, and all people!!
God made humans physical and to be able to relate with Him spiritually
and in every way that He has made them. In this physical realm, humans are
limited on the amount of harm that they can do to themselves. In this
limited time realm, they can learn about God and come to a decision on if
they wanted to live with Him now by faith and after their death forever and
ever, --- or not.
God created man in His own image (Then God said, "Let us make man in
our image, in our likeness, Genesis 1:26-27 Editor's Note: The word
"us" refers to the Trinity,
the triune Godhead.). God breathed a living and eternal soul into man. (the
LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Gen 1:7)
From that point on, the soul was infused upon conception. God's purpose is
to call each one he creates,
you and me, to Himself and make them
His sons by adoption. (For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a
slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we
cry, "Abba, Father." Rom 8:15; Not only so, but we ourselves, who
have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for
our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. Rom 8:23; the people of
Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the
covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.
Rom 9:4) God created each one
individually and with great care and love. ("Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you, before you were born
I set you apart; Jer 1:5)
God made Adam and Eve to be rulers of the earth. Gen
1:26-31, Gen 2:15-17, 25 No one else was to rule all the earth except
mankind. God is man's guide and Sovereign Ruler, the One to whom every man,
woman, and child must give an account for every choice they make. (Hebrews
4:13, 1
Peter 4:5, Romans
14:12, Hebrews
9:27)
God loves all of His creatures. God is Love (John 4:16). God cannot deny
His own nature and character.
But above all, God loves people. (Look at the birds of the air; they do not
sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a
single hour to his life? Matt 6:26-27) God created men and women and
children to have a personal and intimate relationship with Himself. ("O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,
how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers
her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Matt 23:37 Remain in
me, and I will remain in you. John 15:4; And you said, "The LORD our
God has shown us his glory and his majesty, and we have heard his voice from
the fire. Today we have seen that a man can live even if God speaks with
him. Deut 5:25)
God created the Earth with great care and love. (Read Genesis 1-2) God
spent much care and detail to prepare everything before the arrival of man.
(For this is what the LORD says-- he who created the heavens, he is God; he
who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be
empty, but formed it to be inhabited-- he says: "I am the LORD, and
there is no other. Isa 45:18.)
God formed the first man Himself. With great and tender loving care God
used His own Hand to form Adam. Then God breathed into his nostrils to be a
living breathing soul. (The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the
ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became
a living being. Gen 2:7)
For His own pleasure, God walked and talked with Adam ("Adam"
means "the first man"). God had an open relationship with the
first man. God and Adam had a loving friendship together. (Now the LORD God
had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds
of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and
whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. Gen
2:15-25)
God knew Adam was lonely. (But for Adam no suitable helper was found. Gen
2:20) God wanted a suitable mate for Adam. (The LORD God said, "It is
not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for
him." Gen 2:18) So God made it good. God made Adam a
suitable help mate. God made Eve. (Then the LORD God made a woman from the
rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Gen 2:21-25) Wow! Imagine Adam's joy!
God walked and talked with both Adam and Eve.
Then came the enemy. The devil did not want any joy. The devil is
miserable and wants everyone to be feeling hopeless, angry, rejected and
badly too. The devil watched and waited, looking for an opportunity to
strike doubt, temptation and evil into the lives of the trusting and pure
human beings. The devil hates God. The devil hates people. The devil wants
to ruin people's relationships with God because he knows that only in a
right relationship
with God can any real joy, hope and peace exist and flourish.
The devil knows Adam and Eve are not allowed to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil. While God is out of the area, the devil goes to that tree. (The LORD God took
the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree
in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." Gen 2:15-17)
Notice the devil hides from God. He lurks in the shadows and sits in
forbidden places. (Genesis 3:1-7) This is the devil's standard pattern: in
darkness and bad places. (The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness
has not understood it. John 1:5 ; in order that Satan might not
outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. 2 Cor 2:11)
The devil lies to Eve. The devil tries to confuse her thoughts and break
her friendship with God. ("Did God really say, (This casts doubt) 'You
must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"(Not God's words at all!)
"You will not surely die," (another lie, for spiritual death is
true death!) "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be
opened, and you will be like God (another lie: tempting Eve to be prideful),
knowing good and evil." Gen 3:1-5 ; "And no wonder, for Satan himself
masquerades as an angel of light. 2 Cor 11:14) This is the devil's standard
pattern: (He is a liar from the beginning. When he lies, he speaks his
native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44) The
devil casts doubt on God's Word and shades of darkness upon Eve's thoughts.
The only way to combat the enemy's thoughts is by being filled with the
Holy Spirit and knowing God's Word, the Bible and the intent of God's Word.
(You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One
who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4)
The devil wants to break Eve's trust in God's authority. The devil knows
the truth. He knows exactly what God said, and why God said it. The devil
knows that God is right. The devil knows that God's authority can never be
shaken because God is sovereign, but the devil wants to cause pain, injury,
harm and evil to Adam and Eve. The devil wants to ruin God's creation. The
devil wants to get power and control at the cost of a human soul, Eve, you
and me.
Eve falls for it. Eve is beguiled into disobedience by her own freewill.
(When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and
pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some
and ate it. Gen 3:6) Eve did not know God's Word, and did not trust God's
Love for her enough to resist the temptation. (Submit yourselves, then, to
God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7)
How are you with God's Word, the Bible? Are you learning about God and His
love and His relationship with you? (Luke 4:1-14 shows how Jesus combated
the devil successfully.)
Eve did not call upon the Lord for help. (My soul yearns, even faints, for
the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Ps
84:2) Eve did not ask Adam for help. She went her own way. (We all, like
sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD
has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa 53:6; Pride goes before
destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Prov 16:8) How often do you do
this? What are the consequences of your actions which effect generations yet
to come? Eve sinned first, but so do you and I.
Eve, of her own free will, bit the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil. Once she bit the fruit, Eve has a new choice to make. She can
choose to stop sinning, or to sin again. Eve can tell of her immediate
feeling of fear, loneliness, and separation from God and His Love. Eve can
repent and confess her sin. Eve can cry out for the Lord God to help her.
--Instead, Eve chooses to sin again. Eve gives Adam the fruit to taste and
eat. (She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
Gen 3:6) (Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes
refuge in Him. Ps 34:8)
Adam chose to eat of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil. Adam freely chose to ignore what God had told him directly. By this
singular act, what God promised both of them would happen did happen. Adam
and Eve both died spiritually. Their bodies bore the effects of their
spirit's sin by having physical death later on.
By Adam's act of willful disobedience against God's Words, Adam
relinquished his rulership of the earth. (See note 17
above) Adam turned his ownership and princehood
of this earth to the devil. From the time Adam sinned, everyone who is ever
born of man is a descendent of Adam, and has
a sin nature and are children of the devil.
This curse is permanently reversed by anyone
who chooses to
know, love, and obey the Lord God Almighty
on His terms, through His
Son Jesus Christ. (Note: Jesus was born
of woman only and had God
as His Father, thereby Jesus Christ had no
sin nature.)
Eve and Adam hid. They knew they had done wrong. (Then the eyes of both of
them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig
leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Then the man and his wife
heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool
of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
Gen 3:7,8)
The devil just watched his success in causing pain and horror in God's
first two human beings. The devil did not flee, for he was enjoying the
torment he helped bring through his temptation and deception of Eve and
Adam. That is how the devil is with you, too. Adam and Eve hid themselves
trying to hide their sinfulness.
God came looking for His Adam and Eve. The Father Who had made them came
looking to care for them. (But the LORD God called to the man, "Where
are you?" Gen 3:9 ) God the omniscient knows exactly where they are,
but He wants to give them an opportunity to use their free will and choose
to have Him help them, to choose to love Him, to repent. God would love to
hear, "Here we are! And we feel so ashamed and bad inside!! Help us!!
We are in trouble!" (God wants you to always call out to him when you
are in sin! Do you need to do that right now? - Then do it! He is listening
to you.! Pray!)
